COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Arts in Psychology is a four-year program that introduces students to the scientific study of human behaviour, thought processes, and social interaction, while progressively developing their theoretical understanding and practical skills. In the first year, students explore foundational topics such as psychology in everyday life and psychology of social issues, which help them understand how psychological concepts apply to real-world experiences. In the second year, the focus shifts to core academic training through modules in psychological theory and research methods, alongside practical psychology, supported by a cooperative education work placement that provides real-world experience. The third year includes further development of theoretical and applied skills, with continued study in psychology methods and practical psychology, as well as an Erasmus or exchange opportunity abroad that enhances academic and cultural learning. In the final year, students study more specialised areas including personality psychology, cognition, applied psychology, and social psychology, allowing them to deepen their understanding of human behaviour from multiple perspectives. Across the program, students build strong research, analytical, and communication skills, learning how to interpret psychological data and theories. Graduates are well prepared for careers or further study in psychology, mental health, education, social services, and other fields involving human behaviour and wellbeing.
