COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Arts in Digital Culture and Communications is a four-year program that explores media, communication, and digital culture through both theoretical study and practical application. In the first year, students are introduced to core topics such as digital media, communication, social media, and society, providing a foundation for understanding how digital technologies shape modern life. In the second year, students choose from modules including visual cultural studies, sociology of media, and technical communication, alongside a work placement that offers practical industry experience. The third year expands into more specialised areas such as film studies, media discourse analysis, writing for new media, and applied linguistics, with an Erasmus or exchange opportunity that enhances international and intercultural learning. In the final year, students select advanced modules covering areas such as digital arts, European cinema, comparative literature, gender and popular culture, media challenges in the digital age, and content development. The program combines critical analysis of media and communication with hands-on skills in writing, production, and digital content creation. Graduates gain strong analytical, creative, and communication abilities, preparing them for careers in media, journalism, digital marketing, content creation, public relations, and other communication-related fields in the evolving digital landscape.
