COURSE CURRICULUM

Graduates of the MSc in Sustainable Energy & Green Technologies will gain the knowledge and skills needed to address critical challenges in the deployment of renewable and sustainable energy systems. They will learn to conduct comprehensive environmental, social and economic analyses of energy technologies, and apply innovative technical solutions to real-world sustainability problems. The program equips students with the ability to perform in-depth feasibility studies, scientific assessments, and technical evaluations of sustainable energy systems. Students will also develop a strong awareness of ethical standards and professional conduct, along with advanced oral and written communication skills tailored to scientific and industry audiences. The curriculum supports both individual work and collaboration within interdisciplinary teams, preparing graduates to contribute meaningfully in diverse work environments. Through a blend of core modules such as Life Cycle Assessment, Waste to Energy Processes & Technologies, Advanced Air Pollution, Renewable Energy Systems Analysis and Biorefinery Processes, students receive a broad and deep education in energy and environmental science. A year-long thesis project allows students to engage in independent research, applying theory to practice in their chosen area of interest. On completing the program, graduates will be well-prepared to support industry and community organisations in developing and adopting sustainable energy technologies, while embracing lifelong learning and continuous professional development.
