COURSE CURRICULUM

The Smurfit MBA curriculum builds on your prior experience by equipping you with practical skills across key business disciplines such as Finance, Strategy, Marketing, Accounting, Economics, Human Resources, and Leadership. The core academic program is continuously updated to reflect the latest trends in business and organisational thinking, benefiting from active research and close collaboration between faculty and industry experts.Teaching methods are varied and dynamic, combining theoretical frameworks with practical application. You will engage in lectures, group discussions, guest speaker sessions, and experiential learning activities. The program uses case studies, business simulations, international study tours, and capstone projects to develop your analytical skills and deepen your expertise. Assessments focus heavily on teamwork and essential business skills, fostering collaboration and real-world problem solving.The program is delivered over three semesters and includes 15 core modules covering foundational and advanced topics. In addition, you will select two option modules, complete a major project, and have the chance to take part in modules offered at partner institutions worldwide, providing valuable global exposure. Optional modules are available in the autumn, spring, and summer terms, with offerings regularly updated based on student feedback and emerging business trends.Central to the MBA experience is the Leadership and Employability Advancement program (LEAP), which runs throughout the course.
