COURSE CURRICULUM

The M.Sc. in Electronic and Information Engineering is a flexible program that can be completed full-time in one year or part-time over two to three years. It consists of 90 ECTS credits, including 60 ECTS from taught modules and a 30 ECTS research project or dissertation. Students also have the option to specialise in Computational Engineering by selecting at least 15 ECTS from modules within that strand. In addition to direct entry to the master’s degree, the program offers alternative entry routes through a Postgraduate Certificate and Postgraduate Diploma, with the option to progress to the full M.Sc. qualification. Part-time students may follow a staged pathway over several years, with flexibility to take breaks between stages. All students complete core modules such as research methods, computational methods, and an introduction to deep learning, which provide a strong technical foundation. They also choose from a wide range of elective modules, covering topics such as signal processing, telecommunications, audio and image processing, quantum computing, and control systems. The program culminates in a substantial research project, allowing students to apply their knowledge to a specific engineering problem. This structure ensures both depth and flexibility, preparing graduates for advanced technical roles or further research.
