COURSE CURRICULUM

The M.Sc. in Economics is offered in both full-time and part-time formats, allowing students to complete the program in one year or over two academic years respectively. At the start of the course, all students undertake an intensive preliminary module in mathematics and statistics, designed to refresh key undergraduate concepts while introducing more advanced techniques. The first semester focuses on building a strong foundation in core areas such as microeconomics, macroeconomics, and econometrics, ensuring students develop essential analytical and quantitative skills. The second semester begins with a research methods course, which prepares students for independent academic work. Throughout the program, students complete a total of 12 taught modules, including a mandatory Research Topics module that introduces key methodologies and current issues in economic research. This supports the development of their dissertation, where students identify and investigate a specific research question, applying the knowledge and skills gained במהלך the course. Students also have the opportunity to select elective modules from a range of theoretical and applied fields, allowing for specialisation according to their interests. Those in the International Development strand complete additional required modules focused on development-related topics, ensuring relevant expertise in global economic issues.
