COURSE CURRICULUM

The M.Sc. in Diagnostic Radiography is an intensive two-year accelerated program running from September to September, combining lecture blocks with extensive clinical placements. Teaching is mainly delivered between September and June, while students spend much of the summer developing practical skills through clinical placements, with only short breaks during Christmas and summer. The program consists of 13 core modules totaling 120 ECTS credits. In Year 1, students study foundational subjects such as anatomy, physiology, pathology, imaging science, radiographic technology, patient care, and image interpretation, alongside two clinical placements that build essential hands-on experience. In Year 2, the focus shifts to specialised imaging, leadership and quality in radiography, and an internship in a specialised imaging modality, supported by a third clinical placement and a 30 ECTS research dissertation. Assessment methods include written examinations, OSCEs, assignments, clinical evaluations, and presentations, with final results based on a weighted average across modules. Students must achieve at least a 50 percent pass mark in all components, although one module per year may be compensated with a minimum of 40 percent if overall performance is sufficient. The structure ensures graduates are well prepared for professional clinical practice.
