COURSE CURRICULUM

The M.Sc. in Cancer Survivorship is structured around ten taught modules that together total 90 ECTS credits, providing a comprehensive and research-informed understanding of survivorship care. The program covers key areas such as assessing the needs and impacts of cancer and its treatments, as well as exploring models of care and interventions designed to support individuals throughout the survivorship journey. Students gain insight into disease-specific cancers from both scientific and clinical perspectives, alongside advanced topics that reflect current developments in the field. The course also places strong emphasis on research skills, including qualitative research methods, research design, statistics, and project management, enabling students to critically evaluate and contribute to evidence-based practice. Additional modules focus on evidence synthesis in cancer survivorship, innovations in eHealth, and implementation science, which examines how theory and practice can be effectively applied in real-world healthcare settings. A significant component of the program is the research dissertation, where students undertake an independent study to deepen their knowledge and apply their learning to a specific area of interest. Overall, the course integrates clinical, research, and technological perspectives to prepare students for advancing cancer survivorship care.
