COURSE CURRICULUM

The M.Phil. in Christian Theology offers flexible study options, allowing students to complete the program either full-time over one year or part-time over two years. In addition, it can be pursued through a structured three-year pathway, progressing from a postgraduate certificate to a postgraduate diploma and ultimately to the M.Phil. degree. In the first year, which corresponds to the postgraduate certificate stage, students complete three modules worth a total of 30 ECTS credits. These include two core modules and one optional module, providing a foundational understanding of the central themes and issues in contemporary Christian theology. This initial stage is designed to introduce students to key theological concepts, methods of analysis, and critical approaches, helping them build the academic skills necessary for advanced study. The flexible structure of the program allows students to gradually deepen their knowledge while accommodating different learning paces and commitments. It also ensures a clear progression route for those who wish to continue beyond the certificate level, ultimately leading to more specialised study and independent research at the M.Phil. stage.
