COURSE CURRICULUM

The Trinity Science degree is structured around four main entry routes, each offering a pathway to a range of specialised scientific disciplines. The Biological and Biomedical Sciences stream provides options such as biochemistry, botany, environmental sciences, genetics, human genetics, immunology, microbiology, molecular medicine, neurosciences, physiology, and zoology, focusing on living systems and health-related sciences. The Chemical Sciences stream includes degrees in chemistry, chemistry with biosciences, chemistry with molecular modelling, medicinal chemistry, and nanoscience, allowing students to explore the composition, structure, and applications of chemical substances. The Geography and Geoscience stream is dedicated specifically to the study of geography and geoscience, examining the Earth’s physical features, environmental processes, and human interactions with the environment. The Physical Sciences stream offers options such as physics, physics and astrophysics, and nanoscience, concentrating on the fundamental laws governing matter, energy, and the universe. These entry routes provide students with flexibility to explore broad scientific areas before specialising in later years. This structure ensures a strong foundational understanding of scientific principles while allowing students to pursue their interests in greater depth, ultimately preparing them for a wide range of careers in science, research, industry, and related fields.
