COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc (Hons) in Property Valuation and Management is a four-year program, including a full-year industrial placement in third year, designed to prepare graduates for careers across the property sector such as valuation, estate agency, property management, investment, development, planning, and corporate real estate. The course is professionally accredited by the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland and recognised by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, meeting requirements for property service professionals. In Year 1, students build foundations in construction technology, property law, economics, sustainability, research skills, and introductory property valuation. Year 2 develops applied knowledge in estate agency practice, property marketing, planning law, building technology, property investment and development valuations, and integrated real-world projects, alongside optional modules in conservation or property economics. Year 3 includes professional practice, management, property market evaluation, law, and dissertation development, supported by an industry placement or capstone project that builds practical experience. Year 4 focuses on advanced topics such as commercial property management, lease management, statutory valuations, urban economics, financial management, tax, sustainable surveying, and advanced development appraisal, alongside a major dissertation. The program blends technical property valuation skills with legal, economic, and business knowledge, supported by research and professional development. It prepares graduates for professional practice in the Irish and international property industry through academic study, applied learning, and industry experience.
