COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc (Hons) in Creative Digital Computing is a multidisciplinary program that combines computing, design, and immersive media to prepare students for careers in interactive digital technologies. In the first year, students build core foundations in programming, mathematics, web development, operating systems, digital storytelling, visual design, UI/UX principles, and game and interaction concepts, alongside skills in digital video and communication. In the second year, they progress into more advanced areas such as object-oriented programming, front-end and server-side development, 3D graphics, motion design, cloud and networking fundamentals, immersive technology development using tools like Unity, and UX/UI prototyping, while also developing professional branding skills. The third year focuses on real-world application through group projects, interaction design, web applications, virtual and augmented reality, project management, and a major work placement in industry. In the final year, students specialise in advanced topics such as 3D graphics, immersive programming, mobile development, data visualisation, big data analytics, human factors in immersive systems, and enterprise or entrepreneurial development. A major digital media project forms the capstone, allowing students to design and build a complex interactive application using the skills gained throughout the degree. Graduates are prepared for careers in software development, games, immersive media, UX design, AR/VR, and digital innovation industries.
