COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc (Hons) in Creative Broadcast and Film Production is a practice-based program that prepares students for careers in film, television, radio and digital media through a strong mix of technical training and creative storytelling. Students begin by learning core skills in camera operation, sound recording, editing, media management, photography and film history, alongside modules in ethics, communication and screenwriting. As the course progresses, they develop more advanced abilities in cinematography, lighting, production sound, broadcast editing, visual storytelling, event production and post-production workflows. The program also explores creative areas such as sound design, film graphics, VFX compositing and digital storytelling across multiple platforms. In later years, students engage with studio production, outside broadcasts, professional practice, and industry-standard workflows, while also building portfolios and developing employability skills. A major feature of the course is the industry placement, where students gain real-world experience in media organisations. Final-year study focuses on high-level production work, advanced editing, sound design, cinematography and specialised electives such as directing, art direction and media law. The program culminates in a capstone project and professional portfolio, often involving film, documentary or broadcast production, showcasing students’ technical ability, creativity and industry readiness for careers in the global creative media sector.
