COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc (Hons) Computing with Artificial Intelligence is structured to progressively develop students into skilled professionals across core areas of modern computing and intelligent systems. In Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, learners study intelligent agents, model training, evaluation techniques, and responsible AI practices. Data Science and Intelligent Analytics focuses on data preparation, statistical methods, analytics pipelines, and understanding how bias and data quality affect outcomes. Programming and Software Development builds strong coding skills using modern languages, version control tools like GitHub, and industry-standard testing practices. Software Engineering and System Design introduces agile methodologies, requirements analysis, system architecture, teamwork, and professional project delivery. Mobile and Web Technologies enable students to design responsive applications, integrate APIs, and create user-centred digital experiences. Throughout the course, students gain practical experience through industry-style projects that simulate real development environments, where they design, build, test, and present working software systems. In Year 1, the focus is on foundations such as programming basics, data literacy, and responsible use of intelligent technologies. Year 2 introduces applied learning with machine learning models and real datasets. Year 3 develops practical AI integration, ethics, and system design. In Year 4, students specialise in advanced topics and complete a major independent project involving AI applications, data analytics systems, secure cloud solutions, or intelligent web and mobile platforms, demonstrating technical, analytical, and professional skills.
