COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bioveterinary Science program provides a comprehensive and multidisciplinary education that combines fundamental sciences with applied animal and veterinary studies. In the first year, students build a strong foundation in anatomy and physiology of domestic animals, chemistry, biology, physics, and mathematics, alongside developing academic and research skills. In the second year, the focus expands to include public health, epidemiology, microbiology, parasitology, bio-organic chemistry, and animal husbandry, enabling students to understand disease control, laboratory analysis, and animal care practices. The third year introduces more specialised topics such as animal nutrition, breeding and genetics, behaviour, toxicology, advanced cell biology, and quality compliance, while also offering valuable industry placement or project-based alternatives to gain practical experience. In the final year, students study advanced subjects including immunology, agricultural biotechnology, ecotoxicology, sustainable herd management, and toxicity testing models, along with research methods. The program concludes with modules on veterinary pharmaceutics, environmental issues, computational biology, and an independent research project. Overall, the course equips graduates with scientific knowledge, technical skills, and practical experience for careers in animal health, research, agriculture, and related industries.
