COURSE CURRICULUM

This four-year Athletic and Rehabilitation Therapy program provides students with a comprehensive education in the prevention, assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of sports-related injuries, with a strong emphasis on musculoskeletal health. In the first year, students build a solid foundation in anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, psychology, and basic rehabilitation while also developing academic, mathematical, and scientific skills. Year two introduces clinical practice through emergency care training, injury assessment, sports nutrition, rehabilitation techniques, and student-led clinics, alongside research methods and ethical considerations. In the third year, students advance their clinical competencies through in-depth study of musculoskeletal injuries, therapeutic modalities, clinical biomechanics, diagnostic imaging, and psychological aspects of injury, while continuing hands-on experience in clinics. The program emphasizes evidence-based practice and critical thinking throughout. In the final year, students undertake a major research project and complete professional work placement, gaining real-world experience in clinical environments. Advanced modules focus on clinical reasoning, injury management, and rehabilitation for high-performance athletes. Overall, the course integrates theory, practical skills, and professional experience to prepare graduates for careers as certified athletic therapists in sports and healthcare settings.
