COURSE CURRICULUM

The Computing BSc program develops students from foundational computing knowledge through to advanced applications of artificial intelligence and intelligent systems. In the first year, students focus on core foundations including programming fundamentals, data literacy, and an introduction to intelligent systems. They also explore responsible technology use, helping them understand the ethical and societal impact of computing. In the second year, learning becomes more applied as students work directly with real datasets and begin training and evaluating machine learning models. This stage develops practical skills in data analysis, model building, and understanding how AI systems perform in real-world contexts. In the third year, students move into advanced application and system design, focusing on integrating AI into complete software solutions. They explore key topics such as explainability, ethics, and the design of intelligent systems to ensure transparency and responsible deployment of technology. Across all years, the course is designed to build both technical competence and critical thinking, preparing students to work with modern AI-driven technologies in a professional environment.
