COURSE CURRICULUM

This Mechanical Engineering program provides a structured blend of theoretical knowledge and practical skills across four years. In the first year, students build a foundation in communication, mathematics, engineering science, mechanics, materials, and workshop practices, including CAD and hands-on manufacturing skills. The second year deepens technical understanding through modules in sensor systems, statics, thermodynamics, control systems, materials, and production management, while continuing to develop design and analytical abilities. In the third year, students advance into specialised areas such as mechanical systems design, automation, heat transfer, thermofluids, and statistical analysis, alongside project planning and management. A key feature is a substantial industrial placement, providing real-world experience and professional development. The final year focuses on advanced engineering topics including vibrations, power systems, HVAC, regulatory compliance, and computer-aided engineering design. Students also complete a final year project that integrates their learning into a practical engineering problem. The program concludes with modules in sustainability, industrial control, manufacturing automation, advanced materials, and applied thermofluids.
