COURSE CURRICULUM

The Engineering Technology Management program is structured over four years to combine engineering fundamentals with management, innovation, and industry-focused skills. In Year 1, students build a foundation in engineering science, mathematics, CAD design, production technology, electrical fundamentals, and computing, alongside an introduction to management and entrepreneurship. Year 2 develops both technical and managerial knowledge through modules in regulatory affairs, quality management, organisational behaviour, data analysis, and Lean Six Sigma, while strengthening mathematical, programming, and engineering science skills. Students also explore product innovation and process design, applying design thinking techniques. In Year 3, learners gain practical industry experience through a full-semester work placement, followed by advanced study in applied design, digital acquisition, materials engineering, and advanced data analysis, with a focus on Industry 4.0 concepts. Year 4 emphasises professional and strategic development, including process improvement using Lean Six Sigma methodologies, process control, operations management, and engineering project management. Students also complete a dissertation and applied project work, developing research, analytical, and communication skills. The final semester continues advanced topics in operations, statistical analysis, and project management. Overall, the program equips graduates with a strong blend of engineering expertise, data-driven decision-making, and leadership skills, preparing them for diverse roles in modern industrial and technological environments.
