COURSE CURRICULUM

This Automotive Engineering and Transport Management program provides a comprehensive blend of technical engineering knowledge and business-focused transport management skills across four years. In the first year, students build a foundation in mechanical engineering science, vehicle technology, automotive electronics, mathematics, computing, and computer-aided design, alongside an introduction to motor retail management. The second year advances understanding of vehicle systems, automotive electronics, engineering mathematics, and vehicle science, while developing skills in workshop operations, business management, and computing applications within the automotive sector. In the third year, the focus shifts towards transport and logistics, including logistics management, transport safety, marketing, fleet operations, and heavy vehicle engineering, supported by a full-semester work placement that provides valuable industry experience. Students also prepare for professional certification in transport operations. In the final year, learners specialise further through modules in advanced vehicle engineering, materials selection, failure analysis, global logistics, transport law, and decision modelling, alongside developing management competencies in finance, human resources, and customer relations. Statistical analysis and quality improvement methods are also covered. The program culminates in a research project, enabling students to apply their knowledge to real-world engineering or transport challenges, preparing them for careers in automotive engineering, logistics, and transport management.
