COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Business Studies (Enterprise and Innovation) is a practice-focused degree designed to develop entrepreneurial thinking, business skills, and the ability to create and manage new ventures. From the first year, students engage in hands-on learning through modules such as business technology, financial accounting, marketing, innovation, web design, and sales strategy, while also developing mathematical, economic, and analytical skills. As the program progresses, students build a deeper understanding of entrepreneurship through subjects like new venture creation, business finance, HRM, legal environment, corporate law, and digital marketing tools including social media and mobile applications. The course places strong emphasis on real-world application, with students working on live start-up ideas, analysing commercial problems, and engaging with business intelligence systems and organisational information systems. In later years, learners participate in consultancy projects with real businesses, apply business analytics, and study strategic management, branding, and integrated marketing communications. A key feature of the degree is the year-long international work placement, giving students valuable industry experience and professional exposure. In the final year, students complete a business plan or thesis and study advanced topics such as international marketing, strategic marketing, intellectual property, and enterprise financial planning. Overall, the program develops innovative, independent thinkers prepared to launch start-ups or succeed in modern business environments.
