COURSE CURRICULUM

This Bachelor of Business Studies (Hons) in Digital Marketing is designed to equip students with strong business foundations alongside advanced digital marketing skills for today’s technology-driven economy. In Year 1, students are introduced to core areas such as digital marketing, business technology, financial accounting, management, selling techniques, web design, maths, statistics, and live business projects where they develop and present real business ideas. Year 2 builds on this with subjects including influencer marketing, social media and mobile apps, legal and macroeconomic environments, HRM, corporate law, management accounting, and marketing communications, alongside practical digital strategy and information systems. In Year 3, students apply their knowledge through brand management, business analytics, project management, integrated marketing communications, and a major consultancy project, followed by a semester-long work placement or study abroad experience that strengthens industry readiness and employability. Year 4 focuses on advanced strategic and commercial modules such as search engine marketing, international marketing strategies, consumer behaviour, intellectual property law, strategic management, and final year capstone options including a thesis or business plan. Throughout the program, students gain hands-on experience with real businesses, digital tools, analytics, and marketing platforms. Graduates develop strong analytical, creative, and strategic skills, preparing them for careers in digital marketing, brand management, social media strategy, e-commerce, or entrepreneurship in a fast-evolving global digital marketplace.
