COURSE CURRICULUM

The Business Studies (Enterprise and Innovation) program is designed for students who want to learn entrepreneurship through practical experience while developing strong business and management skills. From the first year, students work on developing real business ideas, creating business plans, and engaging with live business projects that encourage innovation, creativity, and problem-solving. The course combines core areas such as accounting, management, marketing, economics, sales, law, finance, and human resource management with modern subjects including digital marketing, social media, business intelligence, analytics, web design, and project management. Students gain hands-on experience through consultancy projects, working directly with start-up companies and entrepreneurs to solve real business challenges. The program also focuses on communication, leadership, teamwork, and decision-making skills that are valuable in both entrepreneurial ventures and established organisations. A key feature of the degree is the international work placement or study abroad semester in third year, allowing students to gain professional experience, build industry connections, and improve employability. Graduates develop the confidence, creativity, and practical knowledge required to launch their own businesses, support innovative enterprises, or pursue careers in management, marketing, consultancy, and entrepreneurial support organisations in Ireland and internationally.
