COURSE CURRICULUM

This integrated Business and Law (BBs Hons) program combines legal education with business studies to prepare graduates for careers in law, business, and related professions. In Year 1, students study legal skills, Irish legal system, tort and contract law alongside financial accounting, business mathematics, communication, marketing, and management principles. Year 2 develops knowledge through EU and constitutional law, legal practice skills, revenue law, employment and human resources, micro and macroeconomics, cost and management accounting, marketing for legal practice, and computer applications in legal contexts. Year 3 focuses on company, criminal, and employment law, alternative dispute resolution, managerial finance, and includes a work placement providing industry experience and development. Year 4 consolidates learning with land and equity law, strategic management, finance, administrative law options, data protection, jurisprudence, marketing communications, and a research project. Throughout the program, students develop analytical, research, advocacy, communication, numerical, and problem-solving skills, supported by training such as moot court participation and workplace experience. The degree enhances employability by blending legal reasoning with business skills and practical application, enabling graduates to adapt to roles in legal practice, corporate environments, public sector organisations, or entrepreneurial ventures while meeting professional standards in modern industries and global workplace settings in today's economy context and
