COURSE CURRICULUM

This program provides a comprehensive and progressive education in graphic and digital design, combining creative practice, technical skills, and critical thinking across four years. In the first year, students build a strong foundation in design principles, illustration, photography, and visual culture while developing confidence and an understanding of the design process through experimentation and digital tools. The second year advances these skills with a focus on visual thinking, typography, animation, and professional identity, while deepening knowledge of modernism and postmodernism in visual culture. In the third year, students take on greater creative responsibility through art direction, narrative development, and industry placement, gaining real-world experience and refining their personal design voice. The final year emphasises professional practice, live client projects, and advanced areas such as motion graphics, interaction design, and user experience. Students also complete a major self-directed project that showcases their technical, conceptual, and creative abilities. Throughout the program, learners develop strong communication, research, and presentation skills, supported by theoretical studies in visual culture. By graduation, students are well prepared for careers in the design industry, equipped with a professional portfolio and the ability to produce innovative, meaningful, and industry-relevant design solutions.
