COURSE CURRICULUM

The Fashion Design program is structured over four years to develop creative, technical, and professional skills in a progressive manner. In Year 1, students are introduced to art and design fundamentals through studio projects, digital media, and contextual studies, while exploring different disciplines before selecting their specialisation. Year 2 focuses on building core fashion design skills across areas such as textile development, garment construction, illustration, digital tools, and sustainability, while encouraging research through trips, exhibitions, and guest lectures. Students also prepare for industry engagement through placement, live projects, or international exchange opportunities. In Year 3, learners deepen their expertise in their chosen pathway, enhancing design development, communication, and technical abilities through studio work, workshops, and industry-led projects. A major highlight is the placement or exchange semester, where students gain valuable real-world experience with leading fashion companies and institutions worldwide. Year 4 is a transformative stage where students refine their creative identity and produce a cohesive body of work. This includes a final degree collection, professional portfolio, and supporting theoretical work. The program concludes with a showcase of student work, preparing graduates for successful careers in the global fashion and textiles industry.
