COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA in Music and the Live Events Industry is a three-year program that combines live performance, sound engineering, event management, and music business skills to prepare students for careers in the music and entertainment industries. In Year 1, students develop foundational abilities in stagecraft, live performance, sound engineering, music appreciation, video and animation creation, communication, and music marketing. They also gain early professional experience through live events, performances, and music-related placements. Year 2 builds on these skills through advanced stagecraft, ensemble performance, live sound reinforcement, work experience, and professional communication. Students also study finance and entrepreneurship for the music industry, learning how to manage careers, projects, and business opportunities effectively. Collaborative projects and real-world industry engagement further strengthen practical and teamwork skills. In Year 3, students focus on advanced artistic, professional, and business development. Modules include arranging and orchestration, music pedagogy, social media management, multimedia performance, and management for the live events industry. Students continue to gain industry experience through placements and professional projects while refining their artistic identity and career direction. Throughout the program, emphasis is placed on practical learning, industry collaboration, and professional preparation. Graduates leave with experience in live performance, event production, business management, and digital promotion, preparing them for careers as performers, event professionals, music educators, freelancers, or entrepreneurs in the live music and entertainment sectors.
