The BA in Graphic Design is a structured, practice-led program that develops students into skilled visual communicators through a balance of creative experimentation, technical training, and critical theory. In the first year, students build foundational skills in design principles, illustration, photography, typography, and visual culture while developing confidence in studio practice and learning how design connects to cultural and historical contexts. They engage in visual storytelling, motion graphics, and independent research while completing industry placement experience. Studio practice modules support career development, branding, and professional presentation skills. Visual culture studies in the final year focus on critical analysis, research, and written work that connects theory to practice.
