COURSE CURRICULUM

The TV and Media Production program is structured over three years and divided into six semesters, allowing students to gradually develop creative, technical, and professional skills required for careers in the media industry. In the first year, students are introduced to the fundamental concepts and techniques of media production. Modules such as Visual Culture, Introduction to Audio, Principles of Light, Introduction to TV Studio Production, and Introduction to Production help students understand the basics of visual storytelling, lighting, sound, and studio work. In the second semester, students continue developing their skills through modules including Writing for the Screen, Introduction to Single Camera Production, Introduction to Post Production, Media Skills, and Principles of Sound. These subjects provide a strong foundation in scriptwriting, camera techniques, editing, and general media production skills, while also encouraging creativity and teamwork.In the second year, the program focuses on expanding students’ technical knowledge and practical production experience. Students study modules such as Graphics and Animation, TV Studio Production, Radio, and TV Research and Writing, which help them develop skills in digital media design, broadcasting, and storytelling for television and radio. Additional modules including Shooting and Editing, Web Technology and Video, TV Producing, Single Camera Video Production, and Sound for Film allow students to gain experience with different forms of media production and distribution. These subjects encourage students to plan, record, edit, and produce professional media content while working both independently and in teams.During the third year, students build on their previous learning and focus on advanced production techniques and professional practice. Modules such as Motion Graphics, Documentary Making, TV Studio Production III, Production Management, and Cinematography and Post Production allow students to deepen their understanding of filmmaking and media production. In the final semester, students complete modules including Practical Production, Advanced Lighting and Sound Techniques, Location Video Production, and Production Coordination. These modules emphasize real-world production skills, project management, and collaboration. Overall, the course structure ensures that students gain a comprehensive combination of creative, technical, and organisational skills needed to succeed in the television, film, and digital media industries.
