COURSE CURRICULUM

Year 1 of the BEng in Aerospace Engineering lays the groundwork with mandatory modules in Avionics Fundamentals, Aircraft Anatomy and Design, Engineering Mathematics, Aviation Science, and professional skills including Management Fundamentals and Aviation Engineering Practice. In Year 2, students advance their knowledge with modules such as Human Factors in Aviation, Avionics, Propulsion Systems, Aviation Maintenance Practices, Construction Materials, Mechanics of Materials, and two engineering projects. Year 3 focuses on specialized areas like Electrical Propulsion, Introduction to Space Engineering, UAS Technology, Mechanics of Materials 2, and Engineering Mathematics, while offering electives in Aircraft Structures, Aircraft Systems, Industrial Studies, Development Projects, and a Work Placement to gain hands-on industry experience. The final year emphasizes advanced concepts including Flight Mechanics, Aerodynamics and Computational Analysis, Conceptual Design, Embedded Systems, Aircraft Structural Mechanics and Analysis, Aircraft Stability and Control, Computer Networks for Aircraft, Technical Aircraft Leasing and Management, culminating in a substantial Research Project in Engineering to prepare students for professional aerospace careers.
