COURSE CURRICULUM
The electronics engineering course is structured over three years and is divided into multiple semesters, with each semester containing a set of mandatory modules designed to build knowledge and technical skills in electronics and related technologies. In Year 1, students begin with the fundamental concepts that form the foundation of electronic engineering. In Semester 1, the modules include Electrical and Electronic Fundamentals, Engineering Science, Mathematics and Computer Applications 1, Electronic Engineering Practice 1, and Programming Systems. These subjects introduce students to the basics of electrical principles, scientific concepts, mathematical methods, and programming skills required for electronic systems. In Semester 2, students continue developing their knowledge with modules such as Technical Communications, Electrical and Electronic Circuits, Electronic Engineering Practice 2, Mathematics and Computer Applications 2, and Development on GNU/Linux. These modules focus on communication skills, circuit analysis, and practical computing environments commonly used in engineering. In Year 2, the course progresses to more advanced technical topics. In Semester 3, students study Electronic Communications 1, Computer Programming, Analogue and Digital Electronics 1, Engineering Mathematics 1, and System Design and Test. These modules help students understand communication systems, electronic components, programming techniques, and system testing methods. In Semester 4, students continue with Electronic Communications 2, Analogue and Digital Electronics 2, Engineering Mathematics 2, Embedded Systems 1, and Satellite and Microwave Systems. This stage introduces more specialized topics such as embedded technologies and advanced communication systems used in modern electronics.Year 3 focuses on deeper technical knowledge and practical industry experience. In Semester 5, students study Analysis of Analogue Circuits, Digital Communications, Computer Networks 1, Engineering Mathematics 3, and Embedded Systems 2. These modules strengthen analytical skills and knowledge of communication and networking technologies. In Semester 6, students can choose from several elective options such as Study Semester Abroad, Work Placement, Industrial Studies, Network Programmability and Automation, Software Defined Radio, Computer Networks 2, and a Development Project in Engineering. These opportunities allow students to gain real-world experience, international exposure, and specialized skills before graduating.
