COURSE CURRICULUM

This four-year program is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in business before progressing to specialised knowledge in supply chain management. In Year 1, all modules are mandatory and focus on building core competencies in accounting, economics, management, communication, information technology, psychology, and quantitative analysis. Students study Business Financial Accounting, Microeconomics and Macroeconomics, IT for Business, Introduction to Management Theory, Management in Action, Business Psychology, Data Analysis for Business, and Quantitative Techniques. These subjects ensure that learners develop analytical ability, communication skills, and a broad understanding of how organisations operate.Year 2 continues with a comprehensive set of mandatory modules that deepen business knowledge. Students study Business Cost Accounting, Business Management Accounting, Data Analysis for Business 2, Macroeconomy of Ireland, Business Law, Human Resource Management, Supply Chain Management, Introduction to Marketing, and Contemporary Marketing Practice. In addition, a selection of elective modules such as Intermediate Financial Accounting, Human Resource Management 2, Business Psychology 2, or IT for Business 2 allows students to broaden their expertise while maintaining a strong core structure.In Year 3, the focus shifts to specialised supply chain subjects. Mandatory modules include ERP System Applications, Business Finance, Operations Management for Supply Chain, Inventory and Materials Management, and Purchasing and Supplier Management. Students can also choose electives such as Work Placement, Study Abroad, or a Business Internship Project, gaining valuable practical experience.Year 4 emphasises strategic and advanced supply chain topics including Strategic Analysis, Global Logistics, Global Supply Chain Management, Strategic Procurement, Supply Chain Planning and Control, Strategic Financial Management, and a Dissertation and Research Methods module. Electives such as Corporate Finance and Corporate Social Responsibility further enhance strategic and professional development.
