COURSE CURRICULUM

The program is structured over four years, combining mandatory and elective modules to provide a strong foundation in business with increasing specialisation in later years. In Year 1, all modules are mandatory, ensuring students develop core competencies in accounting, economics, management, IT, communication, psychology, and quantitative methods. Semester 1 includes Business Financial Accounting 1, Communications and Academic Writing, Microeconomics, IT for Business 1, Introduction to Management Theory, and Quantitative Techniques 1. Semester 2 builds on this with Business Financial Accounting 2, Data Analysis for Business 1, Macroeconomics, Management in Action, Business Psychology 1, and Quantitative Techniques 2.Year 2 continues with a strong mandatory core in Business Cost Accounting, Management Accounting, Data Analysis for Business 2, Macroeconomy of Ireland, Business Law 1 and 2, Human Resource Management 1, Supply Chain Management, Introduction to Marketing, and Contemporary Marketing Practice. Students also choose from electives such as Business Psychology 2, Intermediate Financial Accounting, Human Resource Management 2, and IT for Business 2.In Year 3, students study key mandatory subjects including Organisational Behaviour 1, International Business Culture, Business Finance, and Global Market Assessment and Selection. They also select from a range of electives such as Work Placement, Study Abroad, Business Internship Project, Global Marketing Strategy, Global Supply Chain Management, and other specialist areas.Year 4 focuses on strategic and global perspectives with mandatory modules including Strategic Analysis, The Global Economy 1 and 2, International Business, Strategic Financial Management, Applied Business Solutions, and Strategic Positioning. A wide range of electives allows students to tailor their studies in areas such as Corporate Finance, Sustainable Marketing, Global Logistics, Enterprise Development, Business Information Systems, and Corporate Social Responsibility, ensuring both depth and flexibility in their chosen field.
