COURSE CURRICULUM

In Year 1, students establish a strong foundation in core business subjects. Semester 1 includes Personal, Professional and Academic Skills 1, Maths for Business, Fundamentals of Accounting 1, Introductory Microeconomics 1, and Management. In Semester 2, students continue building essential skills through Statistics for Business, Personal, Professional and Academic Skills 2, Fundamentals of Accounting 2, Introduction to Macroeconomics 1, and Introduction to Organisational Behaviour. This year focuses on developing academic confidence, quantitative ability, and an understanding of how businesses operate.Year 2 deepens students’ applied business knowledge. Semester 3 includes Enterprise Skills, Fundamentals of Marketing, Introduction to Human Resource Management, Introductory Microeconomics 2, Law 1, and Management Accounting 1. In Semester 4, students study Human Resource Management in Practice, Introductory Macroeconomics 2, Management Accounting 2, Marketing Mix Decisions, and Spreadsheets and Databases, while also choosing between electives such as Employability Skills or Law 2. This stage emphasizes practical business application, analytical skills, and legal and marketing awareness.In Year 3, students focus on strategic and contemporary business issues. Semester 5 includes Business Ethics and Contemporary Management, Financial Planning for Business Managers, and Economics for Business Managers. In Semester 6, students study Digital Marketing and Social Media and choose between New Business Design, Applied Work, Life and Professional Skills, or a Work Placement option. This final year enhances strategic thinking, ethical awareness, digital competence, and real-world experience, ensuring graduates are well-prepared to contribute effectively in diverse business environments.
