COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Business in Sports Management and Coaching is a three-year degree that integrates coaching, sports science, and business management. In Year 1, students build foundational skills in coaching pedagogy, applied athletic development, sport physiology, sport management, accounting for sport, IT, and professional writing. Year 2 develops deeper expertise in sports marketing, economics, finance, nutrition, injury prevention, coach education, strength and conditioning, and physical activity and health. Year 3 emphasizes leadership, fitness testing, sports performance analysis, sponsorship, people management, and practical experience through work placements, internships, or study abroad opportunities. Elective modules in Year 3 allow students to tailor their learning toward performance analysis, community sport, operations management, and coaching practice. The course is designed for students passionate about sport, preparing them for careers in coaching, sports administration, performance analysis, sport development, facility management, and event management. Classes are delivered in classrooms, gyms, and sports pitches to combine theoretical learning with hands-on practice. Through practical and applied learning, students gain the skills, knowledge, and experience necessary to work in a wide range of sport-related industries, including both commercial and not-for-profit organizations.
