COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc in International Business is structured to provide students with a deep understanding of global business operations, strategic management, and cross-cultural leadership. In the full-time schedule, students undertake four core modules in semester 1 and three core modules plus one elective in semester 2. Additionally, a ten-credit research methods module runs across both semesters, equipping learners with the skills to undertake rigorous research. The program culminates in a research dissertation, allowing students to apply their learning to a real-world business challenge and demonstrate their ability to analyse, evaluate, and provide solutions in an international business context.Core modules in the program include Global Business, Business Models, Strategy and Tactics, Marketing in the Global Environment, Leading, Managing and Planning in Organisations, Corporate Governance, Business Ethics and CSR, Economics for Management, Contemporary Issues in Global Finance, Research Methods, and the Dissertation. These modules collectively provide a comprehensive foundation in international business theory, strategic thinking, and practical application, ensuring that graduates are well-prepared to navigate complex global environments.Elective modules allow students to tailor their studies to specific interests and career goals, with options including Strategic Management of Human Capital, Business Intelligence, Sustainable Business Leadership, Commercial Law, Entrepreneurship, Management in Postmodern Markets, Doing Business on the Cloud, and Strategic Project Management. Availability of electives is subject to student numbers, and the College reserves the right to adjust the schedule as required.Upon completion, graduates are prepared to work in multinational corporations, consultancy firms, or global entrepreneurial ventures. They will have developed advanced analytical, strategic, and leadership skills, as well as the ability to manage complex business problems across borders. The MSc in International Business therefore equips students with the knowledge, practical competence, and research capabilities necessary to succeed in the increasingly interconnected global business environment.
