COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc in AI for Business is structured around core modules that combine technical AI knowledge with business strategy, ethics, and practical application. Students study Data Governance, Ethics and Sustainability, which explores responsible and ethical AI practices, alongside Principles of Artificial Intelligence and AI Technologies to build a strong foundation in AI systems, tools, and methodologies. Strategic AI for Business and Leadership and AI for Society and Enterprise focus on applying AI to drive organisational strategy, manage technological change, and understand AI’s broader societal impact. Customer Experience and Product Management and Generative AI for Business develop practical skills for designing AI-enhanced products and services, while Explainable and Emerging AI Technologies ensures students can critically evaluate and communicate AI solutions. A Research Elective provides the opportunity to undertake independent, in-depth study in an area of interest, preparing students for complex, real-world problem solving.The program also incorporates a Practicum or Internship, giving students hands-on experience and the chance to apply their knowledge in professional environments. Elective modules may also be available depending on demand and student numbers, allowing further tailoring of the degree to individual interests and career goals. Assessment is a blend of project work and examinations, typically with 50% continuous assessment and 50% exams, ensuring that students are evaluated on both their theoretical understanding and practical application of AI in business contexts. Through this combination of technical, strategic, and experiential learning, graduates of the MSc in AI for Business are prepared to lead AI-driven initiatives, make informed decisions regarding AI adoption, and contribute innovatively to the evolving landscape of artificial intelligence in industry.
