COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA (Honours) in Business at National College of Ireland is a three-year honours undergraduate degree, with the option to extend to four years by completing a work placement. The program is delivered over six semesters and combines continuous assessment throughout each academic year with formal examinations at the end of every semester, ensuring steady academic progress and consistent evaluation.Students who achieve an overall average of 70 percent or higher in any year of the program are awarded a Dean’s Award in recognition of their academic excellence. Upon successful completion of the degree, graduates receive a QQI BA (Honours) Degree in Business at Level 8 on the National Framework of Qualifications, providing a recognised and respected qualification both nationally and internationally.Students may be eligible, subject to availability, to undertake a structured work placement during the third year of the program. Those who complete the placement graduate after four years with 240 ECTS credits. The placement year enhances practical experience, strengthens employability, and allows students to apply theoretical knowledge within real business environments before progressing to employment or further study.
