COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Economics is a two-year full-time program structured to provide comprehensive training in economics and econometrics, especially for students without a strong prior background in the subject. In the first year, students build foundational knowledge through a range of modules including microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics, quantitative analysis and financial concepts, along with optional subjects such as labour economics, environmental economics, international trade and corporate finance. This year focuses on developing core analytical and problem-solving skills essential for understanding economic principles and real-world applications. In the second year, students move to more advanced and specialised topics such as microeconomics, macroeconomics focusing on growth and business cycles, development economics, international trade and labour economics, alongside advanced econometrics and quantitative methods. The program also includes research skills training and culminates in the completion of an economic thesis, allowing students to apply their knowledge to independent research. Throughout the course, emphasis is placed on building strong quantitative, analytical and communication skills that are highly valued in the job market. Graduates are well prepared for careers in public and private sectors, including roles in policy-making, finance, consultancy and research, or for further academic study such as pursuing a PhD in economics.
