COURSE CURRICULUM

The LLM in International Justice is a one-year postgraduate program consisting of 90 credits, designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of international law, human rights, and social justice. The curriculum combines core and optional modules that explore key areas such as public international law, criminology and criminal justice, international human rights, and economic, social, and cultural rights. Students also examine specialised topics including disability law and policy, migration in international law, spatial justice, and global health law, reflecting contemporary global challenges. Additional modules cover advanced international trade, whistleblowing law, European human rights law, international criminal and humanitarian law, and the rights of minorities and indigenous peoples. A unique component of the program is the study of human trafficking, offering insight into policy, perspectives, and debates surrounding this critical issue. Professional development is integrated into the course to enhance career readiness, while practical experience is supported through a placement module. Assessment involves a combination of coursework and independent study. A major element of the program is the year-long dissertation, worth 25 credits, which allows students to conduct in-depth research on a topic of their choice. Overall, the program equips graduates with the knowledge and skills needed for careers in international law, human rights, and global justice sectors.
