COURSE CURRICULUM

The LLM program in Law is a comprehensive one-year course consisting of 90 credits, combining compulsory and optional modules designed to provide both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in international and European legal contexts. The program begins with a professional development module that supports students in building key academic and career skills. Core subject areas include economic analyses of law, European Union internal market law, criminology and criminal justice, and international human rights. Students also explore specialised fields such as world trade law, international investment law, economic, social and cultural rights, information privacy law, disability law and policy, and public international law. Additional topics include information technology law and migration in international law, reflecting contemporary global legal challenges. In the second semester, students can choose from a wide range of advanced modules, including arbitration law, business law skills, international trade, competition and state aid, whistleblowing law, European human rights law, international criminal and humanitarian law, minority rights, and global health law. Practical experience is supported through opportunities like a placement module and skills-based learning. The program concludes with a year-long dissertation worth 25 credits, allowing students to conduct independent research on a chosen legal topic, integrating knowledge gained throughout the course.
