COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc Psychology program is structured over four years and combines psychology with science and practical experience to develop strong analytical, research, and applied skills. In first year, students study Psychology and Mathematics alongside one additional science subject chosen from Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering Science, or Experimental Physics. This stage provides a broad foundation in psychological theory, scientific thinking, and quantitative methods. In second year, students begin to specialise in Psychology as a single major, allowing them to focus more deeply on core psychological concepts and methods, while also having the option to take a 10 credit elective or critical skills module to broaden their learning. In third year, students gain valuable practical experience by spending one semester on work placement or studying abroad, depending on availability, and one semester completing a research internship, which helps develop applied research and professional skills. In fourth year, Psychology is studied exclusively as a single major, allowing students to engage in advanced topics and further develop their expertise in the field. Overall, the program combines academic study with practical and research experience, preparing graduates for careers in psychology, research, healthcare, education, or related fields that require strong analytical and scientific skills.
