COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Chemistry program is structured over four years to provide a strong scientific foundation followed by specialised study. In first year, students take core subjects including Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics, along with one additional science subject such as Computer Science, Experimental Physics, or Mathematical Physics, ensuring a broad and balanced introduction to science. In second year, the focus becomes more defined with continued study of Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics, along with Pharmaceutical Chemistry Workshops that introduce practical and applied aspects of the field. Students also have the option to take a 10 credit elective or a Critical Skills module, allowing for some flexibility and skill development. In third and fourth years, the program becomes more specialised, with students concentrating on Chemistry, Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Chemistry, and Biology. This stage emphasises advanced knowledge, laboratory work, and the application of scientific principles to real-world pharmaceutical and biomedical challenges. Across all years, students build strong analytical, practical, and research skills, preparing them for careers in the pharmaceutical and biomedical industries or for further academic study.
