COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc Biomedical Science program is structured over four years to provide a strong foundation in science followed by increasing specialisation. In first year, students study core subjects including Biology, Biomedical Science, and Mathematics, along with an additional subject chosen from either science or arts. Science options include Chemistry, Computer Science, or Experimental Physics, while arts options include subjects such as Anthropology, Business, Economics, or Spanish, allowing students to broaden their academic experience. In second year, students continue with Biology and Biomedical Science and also take either Mathematics or the science subject they selected in first year. There is also an opportunity to choose an optional 10 credit elective from available streams, adding further flexibility. In third year, the focus becomes more specialised, with students concentrating on Biology and Biomedical Science to deepen their understanding of key concepts and practical skills. By fourth year, students focus entirely on Biomedical Science, allowing for advanced study and preparation for careers or further education in the field. Overall, the program progresses from a broad scientific base to a specialised focus, equipping students with strong analytical, practical, and research skills in biomedical science.
