COURSE CURRICULUM

This program combines the study of Law with language learning and cultural studies, offering students a strong interdisciplinary education. Students take core Law modules alongside one or more language options such as French, German, Spanish, or Nua-Ghaeilge, allowing them to develop both legal knowledge and advanced linguistic ability. In addition, Language and Culture modules help students understand the societies, histories, and cultural contexts in which these languages are spoken, strengthening intercultural awareness and communication skills. The inclusion of Universal Critical Skills supports the development of essential academic abilities such as critical thinking, research, communication, and analysis, which are important for both legal and language-based careers. Students continue their chosen Law and language subjects across the program, building depth of understanding in both areas over time. The combination of law and languages prepares students for careers in international law, translation, diplomacy, business, or other fields that require strong communication and analytical skills in multilingual environments. Overall, the program is designed to produce graduates who are confident in legal reasoning while also being culturally aware and linguistically skilled, enabling them to work effectively in both national and international contexts across a wide range of professional sectors.
