COURSE CURRICULUM

The International Business degree is structured to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of how organisations operate and grow in a global context. In the first year, students are introduced to the fundamentals of business, including international business, management, marketing, innovation, and business ethics. These foundational modules are designed to build a broad awareness of how contemporary organisations function, with a focus on international perspectives. This early exposure helps students develop an interest in the global business landscape and lays the groundwork for more specialised study in later years.In the second year, the program focuses more deeply on managing people and organisations in international settings. Students take core modules in international business while also selecting from a range of business-related options, such as marketing, information systems, and operations management. This year may also include a 10-credit elective, allowing students to tailor their learning to personal interests. Additionally, students have the option to undertake a work placement or study abroad year between second and third year, extending the degree to four years. This experience provides valuable real-world exposure and enhances career readiness.In the final year, students customise their degree by choosing from a wide selection of optional modules. They explore strategic-level international business topics, such as how multinational companies operate and adapt to changing global environments. This final stage of the program allows students to refine their knowledge and focus on areas of particular interest or career relevance. The flexibility of the curriculum, combined with practical opportunities and expert instruction, ensures that graduates are well-prepared for careers in international business across a variety of sectors and global locations.
