COURSE CURRICULUM

The BBS Finance program is structured to build a strong foundation in the first year and gradually develop specialised financial expertise in later years. In first year, students study a balanced mix of subjects, including Finance, Economics, and Business, each worth 15 credits, along with Mathematics modules that develop essential quantitative skills. Students also take an additional 7.5 credits in either Business or Mathematics, allowing some flexibility in shaping their academic focus. This combination ensures a solid understanding of both financial concepts and the broader business environment. In second year, students begin to specialise by studying core modules such as corporate finance, financial management, economics, and financial markets, while also learning how to analyse financial data. An introduction to accounting is included to strengthen financial knowledge. Students can also choose optional modules from areas such as Business, Economics, Mathematics, and Taxation, allowing them to tailor their studies. In the final year, the focus shifts to advanced topics including investments, derivatives, and sustainable finance. Students further develop their analytical and decision-making skills through financial analysis modules and continue to have optional choices in Business and Economics. Overall, the program combines theoretical knowledge with practical skills, preparing students for careers in finance.
