COURSE CURRICULUM

The BBS in Business and Management is structured over three years to provide students with a progressive and comprehensive education in key areas of business. In the first year, students build a strong foundation in the fundamentals of business and management, regardless of previous academic background in the field. Core modules introduce essential topics such as Management, Marketing, Innovation, Professional Skills, and Business Ethics, equipping students with the basic tools and knowledge to navigate the business world.In the second year, the curriculum expands to include more advanced study of business disciplines and functions. Students take a combination of core and optional modules that allow them to explore specific areas of interest. A 10-credit elective option is also available, enabling students to broaden their academic experience. During this year, some students may opt to apply for a work placement or a study abroad year to take place between second and third year, extending their degree to four years. These opportunities offer valuable real-world experience and global perspectives, though placement availability is competitive and not guaranteed.The final year focuses on synthesising knowledge and understanding business at a strategic level. Students explore how various functions and theories intersect and apply them in more complex contexts. They also have the flexibility to specialise further by selecting from a range of advanced optional modules. This year challenges students to think critically and strategically about business and prepares them to transition confidently into the workforce or further study. Across all three years, the program emphasizes professional skills, group work, and real-world application, ensuring that graduates are well-prepared for careers in diverse business environments or for pursuing postgraduate opportunities.
