COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc in Pharmaceutical Quality Systems, Validation and Technology at Griffith College consists of nine core modules designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of pharmaceutical processes, quality systems, and regulatory compliance. The program begins with an introduction to processes, production, and pharmaceutical quality systems, giving learners a solid foundation in manufacturing practices and standards. Students then study the regulatory landscape of pharmaceutical business, gaining knowledge of international compliance frameworks essential for working in global pharmaceutical companies. Process validation for manufacturing and cleaning is covered to ensure that learners understand the methods required to verify production and sanitation procedures meet regulatory expectations. Research methods are included to develop analytical and investigative skills, enabling evidence-based decision-making and problem-solving. Operational excellence and the science of innovation teach students to apply lean principles and continuous improvement strategies to pharmaceutical operations. Analytical method validation and computer system validation and assurance focus on the technical and digital aspects of quality control and compliance. Pharmaceutical packaging and labelling are explored to ensure safe and accurate product presentation and information. The program concludes with a dissertation, allowing students to apply their knowledge and skills to an independent research project, addressing a practical or theoretical challenge in the field, thereby preparing graduates for leadership and specialist roles in the pharmaceutical industry.
