COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc in Pharmaceutical Business Management is structured across three stages, totaling 60 credits for the taught components and a final dissertation stage, providing a comprehensive and industry-focused learning experience. In Stages 1 and 2, students engage with modules designed to build expertise in international strategy, technology and innovation, leadership and management development, and international marketing, equipping them with the knowledge to operate effectively in a global pharmaceutical context. Additional modules focus on sustainability, responsibility, digital transformation, and leading change, ensuring learners understand contemporary industry challenges and strategic approaches. Core business and operational skills are also developed through modules in problem solving and project management, product commercialisation, pharmaceutical marketing management, quality and regulatory practice, management accounting and control, and business research methods. These modules combine theoretical knowledge with practical applications, preparing students for managerial and strategic roles within the sector. Stage 3 involves a dissertation, often industry-sponsored, which allows learners to apply their acquired skills and knowledge to real-world business challenges, conduct independent research, and contribute meaningfully to industry practice.
